The house in Pelion, is a vacation cottage, ideal for winter or summer escapes.


The cottage was first built in 1883 and renovated in the 1980's. As per the local architecture it has thick stone walls and a wooden floor; the stone walls make the house an ideal retreat from the summer heat.

The house is located in the village of Kalamaki (or Propan) in the slopes of Mount Pelion. Its approximately 30 minutes away from Milies village, traveling towards Tsagarada.

The village is on the Aegean side of the mountain, overlooking the islands of Sporades. When the weather is clear, one might see Agion Oros as well.

The house has a large garden, with a pergola. In the summer the pergola is brimming with grapes, and the garden is full of flowers (and some times local produce- tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchinis) It’s ideal on warm summer days to sit under the pergola, drink your coffee and read your book, with a view to the Aegean.

There are two floors in the house; the basement, with the kitchen, the living room and a small toilet. The basement has cool temperature due to the thick stone walls. The furniture are all vintage and have been decorated with gusto from the family collection.

In the second floor you will find the master bedroom, the hall, the second bedroom and the bathroom.

The master bedroom sports a double bed with a view to the pergola, and a set of vintage furniture. If someone is working and traveling, the vintage desk in the bedroom is your ideal quiet spot.

The hall has a single bed, mainly for guests, but to be honest its rather comfortable, especially when someone opens the balcony doors and lets a breeze come through... (perfect for siestas)

Finally, the second bedroom, has a vintage drawer chest, as well as a bunker and a single bed.

The house can easily host two families, a group of friends or a group of couples who want to have romantic vacation.

There are in total 5 beds (1 double and 4 single) as well as 2 couches. 
There is also Internet, and a television.
